Medicare

You may be eligible for twelve counseling sessions with an instant rebate from Medicare. These rebates help make your therapy more affordable. Advantage Psychology is one of the few psychology centers in the Western suburbs to have this instant rebate option.

Medicare After six sessions, Medicare requires you to see your referring doctor for a review appointment. After the review, you are eligible for six further sessions with your psychologist. In extenuating circumstances and in consultation with your referring doctor, you may be eligible for a further six sessions. This would total 18 sessions in one calendar year.

If you have a Centerlink issue Health Care card you are eligible for the concessional rate of $100 upfront payment that gives you six bulk-billed. sessions. The upfront payment is non-refundable and out of pocket.

Rebates can be directly deposited into your bank account if you have a keycard at the time of appointment. We accept Credit card, Eftpos and cash payments for appointments. Unfortunately, we are unable to deposit your rebate into a credit card account.

Speak to your doctor regarding your eligibility to receive a Mental Health Care Plan referral.
